WILDEBEEST

  • Conservation Status: Stable
  • Wildebeest are members of the antelope family. They are native to savannas and grasslands across southern Africa. For protection against predators, they live in large herds. These herds require a lot of grass and water, so they are always on the move. Wildebeest are famous for their massive migrations, which occur annually at the end of the rainy season.

You may be able to see herds of brindled and eastern white-bearded wildebeest while enjoying Africa Tram or another wildlife safari experience, or spot them passing through on a wildlife live camera!
